Battlers win tilt at UM-Morris over CGB

MORRIS — The Battle Lake boys were able to pick up a 78-59 non-conference win over Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley Saturday at the University of Minnesota-Morris.

The Battlers came out the gate ready to play as they were able to gain a 37-28 lead at the break.

The second half saw Battle Lake pull away from the Wolverines to claim their 12th victory of the season.

Tyler Ukkelberg led the Battlers with 18 points, while teammates Tony Ukkelberg (15), Micah Rogness (13) and Brock Bleicher (10) were also in double figures in the win.

The Battlers will be back to Little Eight Conference action Monday as they host Hillcrest in a 7:30 p.m. showdown.
