FF girls bowling tie for 1st at home [UPDATED]

The GMHSB Central Northwest Conference held it’s third meet of the season at Northern Aire Lanes on Sunday. Fergus Falls came into the meet tied for first place with St Cloud SW, followed by St Cloud SE, just one win behind.

The day got off to a rough start against Brainerd in match one, as the 3-3 Brainerd girls rolled both their high game, and high series of the year enroute to a 5-0 win. Olivia Anderson led the Fergus team with an 80 percent fill rate.

The Fergus girls regrouped, and came back in match two against Alexandria with a nice 4-1 win. Anderson and Mary Gettel both filled the match at 80 percent, with Emma Devorak at 75 percent, and Allison Krensing with 70 percent.

The opponent for match three was conference co-leader, St Cloud SW.

After dropping a close first game, 185 to St Cloud’s 190, the Fergus girls took the next four games to come away with a 4-1 win. Anderson and Chantelle Ward both filled the match at 80 percent, with Devorak at 75 percent. In the match, the Fergus team set the conference season-to-date high game of 232, and series of 881.

The next meet will be in Brainerd on Feb. 24 at 1 p.m
