Man cited after mailbox hit and run [UPDATED]

A Fergus Falls man was cited for driving without insurance, hit and run and failure to transfer title Sunday morning after his license plate was found by a broken mailbox.

According to Fergus Falls police, the bumper and license plate of Joseph Norman’s Dodge pickup were found near the mailbox located at 1027 Friberg Ave.

Norman stated he didn’t know he hit the mailbox the previous night. He was also cited for speeding just after midnight Sunday morning.
