Truck destroyed in fire [UPDATED]

A truck was destroyed in a fire south of Pelican Rapids Saturday after falling into an active burn pile.

The truck was dumping materials into an active burn pile at about 3 p.m. when the ground gave way and the back end fell into the fire.

The truck, valued at $3,500, was a total loss. The Pelican Rapids Fire Department assisted at the scene.
