BERTHA — Brandon-Evansville’s John Haseman reached the 1,000 point milestone Monday, but the Chargers could not gain the advantage over Bertha-Hewitt in a 52-48 loss.

Haseman finished the evening with 22 points and 12 rebounds for a double-double, while teammate Skyler Quinn added 15 tallies in the game.

Haseman is only the second Charger boy to reach the milestone in school history. Nate Meissner is the only other and holds the school’s scoring record at 1,287.

The Chargers look to end their five-game skid as they travel to take on Little Eight Conference rival Rothsay Friday at 7:30 p.m.
