ROTHSAY — The Rothsay girls were able to hold off the Ashby Arrows 49-46 Monday evening to pick up a Little Eight Conference win.

“This was a nice win for our girls,” Tiger coach Jesse Arbuckle said. “They really showed determination and hustle throughout the game. We were able to get a lot of second chances that led to points.”

Ashley Maack led the Tigers with 18 points and Chelsie Lankow pulled down nine rebounds in the win.

Ashby’s Amber Sundal led the team with 12 points, while teammate Cassandra Jordan added 11 marks.

The Tigers will back in action Thursday as they travel to take on LEC rival Underwood in a 7:30 p.m. showdown, while the Arrows will also have a conference battle as they take on Battle Lake on the road at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
