GRACEVILLE — The Ashby boys basketball team hit the road for Graceville Tuesday, squaring off against the C-G-B Wolverines in non-conference play. Despite a late second half surge by the Wolverines, the Arrows came away with a 64-57 victory.

“There were a lot of positive things that happened to put us in a position to win,” said Ashby coach Jeremy Knick. “The team played good defense most of the night and just knocked down some really big shots in the second half.”

Leading the scoring offensive that buried the Wolverines was Jeff Berglund, who ended the night with 22 points and 11 rebounds, giving him a double-double and his best game as an Arrow.

The Arrows had three other players enter double digits in scoring, including Morgan Wing with 16, J.P. Moe with 12 and Blake Ohren with 11.

Ashby will be on the road again Friday night, as they travel to Fergus Falls to face Hillcrest. The game begins at 7:30.
