Vikings win HOL battle over ‘Jackets

PELICAN RAPIDS — The Pelican Rapids girls picked up their 15th win of the season, while also keeping rival Perham from recording a Heart O’Lakes Conference win Tuesday as the Vikings claimed a 66-47 victory.

Madison Korf picked up a double-double for the Vikings with 16 points and 10 rebounds, while sister Mackenzie Korf chipped in 15 points of her own. Kendra Weinrich was also in double digits in scoring with 10 tallies.

The Vikings will continue their three game homestand as they host Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton Thursday at 7:30 p.m., while the Yellowjackets will look to get their first conference victory Thursday as they travel to take on Barnesville in a 7:30 p.m. tilt.
