Jeana Lanum, died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at Essentia Health in Fargo.

She was born Dec. 28, 1969, in Catskill, N.Y., the daughter of Jacqueline (Rosell) and James Bemis Sr. The family moved to Tampa, Fla., where she attended school.

At the age of 17 her family moved to Connecticut where she completed high school.

Jeana was diagnosed at a young age with a disability, and her life was devoted to her family as a homemaker and mother.

Her hobbies included spending time with her children and granddaughter, fishing, reading, caring for her pets, attending local sporting events, and time spent with friends.

Survivors include her children, Jennifer (Brian) Hirchert of Fargo, Shawn Bahr of Pawcatuck Conn., Breana Orlando of Rothsay, and Ayrika Lanum of Rothsay; a granddaughter, Jayedah Hirchert of Fargo; her parents, James and Jacqueline Bemis Sr. of Ledyard, Conn.; three brothers, Timothy Bemis and James Bemis Jr. both of Ledyard Conn., and Eric Bemis of Uncasville Conn.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Also surviving are her ex-husbands, Earl Bahr and Eric Lanum.

Visitation: One hour prior to the service at the funeral home

Service: 1 p.m. Friday, at Olson Funeral Home, Fergus Falls
