SECTION 00 11 00 INVITATION TO BID
Sealed Bids for Heat Pump Replacement, McKinley School, I.S.D. #544, Fergus Falls, Minnesota, will be received by Independent School District #544 until 1:00 PM. Thursday, March 21, 2013.
Bids must be delivered before the time and date indicated above to Mr. Mark Masten, Business Manager, I.S.D. #544, Kennedy Secondary School, 601 Randolph, Fergus Falls, MN 56537 or they may be delivered to the Otter Community Room at that address where they will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Single Base Bid will be received for all Work.
All Bids shall be in accordance with Bidding Documents prepared by Martin Mechanical Design, 702 28th Ave. N., Fargo, North Dakota 58102.
Bidding Documents may be examined at the following locations until Bid opening time:
Offices of Owner and Engineer.
Minnesota Builder’s Exchanges in Duluth, Minneapolis, St. Cloud, Alexandria (Vikingland), Mid-Minnesota (Willmar).
North Dakota Builder’s Exchanges in Fargo, Grand Forks.
South Dakota Builder’s Exchanges in Sioux Falls (Plains).
Bidding Documents may be obtained by prime Bidders and Mechanical and Electrical Work Sub-bidders from Engineer. $ 100.00 plan deposit, payable to Martin Mechanical Design, Is required for one set of Bidding Documents. Full deposit will be returned to those submitting a legal Bid providing complete set as issued, including Addenda, Is received by the Engineer within fourteen days of the Bid opening. No plan deposit will be returned if these conditions are not met. Additional sets may be obtained by prime Bidders at a nonrefundable cost of $100.00. Submit payment for those sets by separate check. Full sets of printed documents may be obtained by non-bidders from the Engineer for a nonrefundable cost of $100.00, payable to Martin Mechanical Design. Any party may obtain electronic documents (pdf files on disk) from the Engineer for a nonrefundable cost of $50.00 per disk, to Martin Mechanical Design.
Bids shall be accompanied by certified check or bid bond In the amount equal to five percent of the highest amount of the Bids as guarantee that the Bidder will, within ten days after Notice of Award, enter into Contract with Owner In accordance with the terms of the Bids and these Bidding Documents.
Bid security shall be made payable to I.S.D, #544.
Bid security of two lowest Bidders will be retained until Contract has been awarded and executed, but not longer than 30 days.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive informalities therein.
