Parkers Prairie 74, Rothsay 21 [UPDATED]
Published 9:18am Friday, February 15, 2013 Updated 11:21am Friday, February 15, 2013The Parkers Prairie girls basketball team was just too good for the visiting Rothsay Tigers Thursday night, taking a 74-21 victory at home.
The Tigers were only able to put up 8 points in the first half. Despite a 38 point surge in the second, Rothsay just couldn’t keep up.
“We just never really recovered from the slow start,” said Rothsay head coach Jesse Arbuckle. “Parkers Prairie is just too good a team to let that happen.”
Lexy Dunbar led the Tiger scoring with 6 points and Emma Larsen led the team with 5 rebounds.
Rothsay will look to rebound as they build towards the playoffs when they host Ulen-Hitterdal next Tuesday.
