THIEF RIVER FALLS — With a flick of his wrist, Mike Millard went down in Fergus Falls basketball history as he became the Otters all-time leading scorer as Fergus went on to beat the Prowlers 71-61 Saturday.

Millard surpassed the previous record held by Jason Retlaff of 1,622 by sinking a free throw midway through the second half.

The Otters looked to snap the five game winning streak of the Prowlers when they stepped on the court and they were able to establish a groove early on.

Fergus would pull away in the second half as they picked up their 13th win of the season.

Millard finished the game with 17 points, while teammates Jackson McAllister and Austin Rund each dropped in 18 tallies. Rund also had 16 rebounds for a double-double in the victory.

Fergus won the rebounding battle 32-18.

The Otters will be back at home Tuesday as they host Rocori in a 7:30 p.m. Central Lakes Conference tilt.
