Patrick Eugene Greene was born on July 1, 1926, in St. Paul, the son of Benjamin and Oriole (Jehlen) Greene. He attended school in Saint Paul, graduating from Harding High School.

After graduating, Patrick entered the U.S. Navy, serving as an Independent Duty Corpsman during World War II.

He was honorably discharged on July 3, 1946. Patrick went on to attend Macalester College in St. Paul.

In 1972, Patrick married Melanie Madsen in Chicago, Ill.

Patrick had a very successful career as an advertising executive in Outdoor Advertising. In 1986, he retired and along with his family, moved to his beloved Blanche Lake where he has since resided.

Patrick was an avid outdoorsman, hunter and fisherman, and had a passion for wildlife.

Most important to Pat was his family, his wife, Melanie of Battle Lake; four children, Terry of White Bear Lake, Beth of Battle Lake, Steve (Lisa) of Perham and Chris of Battle Lake; four grandchildren, Allison Greene, Shana (Michael) Bauer, Stephan Greene and Samantha Greene; one great-grandson, Logan Heinrich; and two brothers, Dan (Marian) of White Bear Lake and Ben (Ruby) of Newport Richey, Fla.

In addition to his parents, Patrick was preceded in death by Jalene C. (Hielkema) Greene.

Private family services are planned.
