A mail carrier for the United State Postal Service was reported to have been bit in the left leg by a dog on Highland Ave. in Fergus Falls Friday afternoon.

A male basset hound-beagle cross approached the carrier as they were out on delivery.

The bite did break skin, but the dog was current on rabies vaccinations.

The owner of the dog was advised to keep it quarantine within the residence for 10 days by the Fergus Falls Police Department.
