BRANDON — The Charger girls went in the break with a lead, but quickly saw the game slip out of their hands as the Melrose Dutchmen picked up a 51-42 victory Tuesday.

After holding a 25-23 lead at the break, the visiting Dutchmen were able to turn on their offense and secure a victory.

Carlie Steffenson, Emily Friedrich and Elizabeth Vinson each dropped in nine points for the B-E girls.

The Chargers will finish out their road schedule Thursday as they travel to take on the Wheaton/Herman-Norcross Warriors at 7:30 p.m.
