EOTC Horticulture Day planned March 16 [UPDATED]

The 26th East Otter Tail County Horticulture Day is planned Saturday, March 16 at the Prairie Wind Middle School.

Cost will be $25 which includes the Keynote Speaker and four classroom sessions plus handouts, lunch, Vendor shopping, coffee and refreshments.

Registration begins at 8 a.m. with the Keynote Speaker, Jackie Froemming, Extension Educator from Crow Wing County, speaking at 9 a.m. on The Weekend Gardener: Horticulture for Busy People. Classes start at 10:30 a.m. and conclude at 4 p.m. No pre-registration is required. Door prizes will be available at noon.

Participants will have a wonderful selection of classes again this year with 24 different speakers talking about anything from Bird Feeding, Fairy Gardens, Tomatoes, Butterflies, Native Grasses, Lawn Care, Daylilies, Perennials and Annuals, to Growing Vegetables and Preserving Your Bounty. We also have Ron and Betsey Smith speaking on Soils and Square Foot Gardening.

The Horticulture Day is sponsored and hosted by the East Otter Tail County Master Gardeners, Lady Slipper Garden Club and the University of Minnesota Extension Office.
