A bill recently introduced to the Minnesota State House by District 8A Representative Bud Nornes would appropriate money for renovation and expansion of the Perham Area Community Center.

The bill would authorize the sale and issue of state bonds.

Proceeds from the bond sales would provide $1.4 million in appropriated state funds.

Perham City Council approved a resolution to apply for state bonding renovating and expanding the Perham Area Community Center in December.

The proposed bill is less than the original request of $2.5 million which would have included re-insulation of the field house, field house flooring replacement, parking lot improvements and various other projects.
