Nancy Ann Bordson, 55, of Bovey, formerly of Fergus Falls

Nancy Bordson, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth.

She was born Oct. 7, 1957, in Fergus Falls, the daughter of Otto and Muriel (Foshaug) Olson. She grew up in Fergus Falls, where she attended school, graduating from Fergus Falls High School.

Over the years she was employed as a beautician, day care provider, and home health aide. While employed as a home health aide in Minneapolis, Nancy was awarded the Outstanding Home Health Provider of the Year Award by the University of Minnesota Hospital, Fairview.

Nancy enjoyed skiing, camping, traveling, spending time at the lake, gardening, and gourmet cooking.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Otto and Muriel Olson; and her grandparents.

Survivors include her children, Nick Henkes of Minneapolis and Molly Henkes of Grand Forks, N.D.; her sister, Pamela (Jim) Wolters of Fargo; a niece, Sarah (Mark) Huckle; nephews Ryan (Marissa) Wolters and Ben (Erin) Wolters; and many treasured friends.

A memorial service will be held concurrently with her mother, Muriel Olson’s service at 1 p.m. Saturday, at Zion Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls, with the Rev. Nancy Eldredge Hess officiating. Olson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls is in charge of the arrangements.
