Steffanson ties B-E three ball record, Chargers win in OT
Published 10:38am Friday, February 22, 2013WHEATON — Carlie Steffanson tied a Brandon-Evansville three point record, hitting five treys as the Chargers defeated Wheaton/Herman-Norcross 67-64 in overtime.
With a hard fought battle, the game ended with a 62-62 tie at regulation.
B-E still had enough energy in the tank as they were able to outscore the Warriors on the way to a three point victory.
Steffanson led the Chargers with 15 points, while teammate Mariah Hansen dropped in 13.
Megan Friedrich recorded a double double for B-E with 12 tallies and 11 boards in the game.
The Chargers will close out their regular season Friday as they host Park Christian in a 7:30 p.m. match up.
