All residential building contractors, remodelers and roofers must complete 14 hours of continued education during every two-year licensing cycle, with at least one hour of energy code included in the education.

The renewal cycle for all licensees has been split in half, meaning that half will renew March 31, 2013 and the other half March 31, 2014.

Residential builders, remodeling and roofing contractors can now complete licensing CE online.

Builders, Remodelers and Roofers can now complete their licensing continued education in the comfort of their own home.

The Builders License Training Institute has two informative and easy to use online courses approved by the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry.

With gas prices so high and time being so valuable, the industry now has a more convenient option.

The Builders License Training Institute, a member of the Mid Minnesota Builders Association, offers two

seven-hour online courses for $99 each:

• Project Management, Including Two Hours of Energy Code

• Construction Safety, Including Fall Protection

Both courses have also been approved for Manufactured Home Installers starting with the 2015 licensing renewal.

The Builders License Training Institute specializes in Exam Preparation, Continuing Education and

Certification courses for the building community.
