Work on Elbow Lake hospital progressing

Despite heavy snowfall in February, construction on the Prairie Ridge Hospital and Health Services facility in Elbow Lake forged ahead.bringing

According to Heather Wall, a Marketing Assistant Prairie Ridge Hospital and Health Services, construction was active on the site througout February. PRHHS installed a real-time camera last month on the site for community members to see the building progress on-line.

Wall said recent construction activities include installation of a security fence to protect the site and errection of steel beams, adding that despite having over a foot of snow, crews began to put up steel beams Feb. 13.

Beam work will continue through next week. Construction could start on walls in early March according to PRHHS, depending on the weather.
