BARRETT — In the Knight boys final home game, lone senior Drew Peterson led West Central with 21 points in a 60-35 win over St. John’s Prep Tuesday.

The Knights left at the break with a 30-28 lead over the Johnnies, but they were able to find another gear in the second half as they outscored their opponent 30-7 the rest of the way.

“What a great night for Drew,” Knight coach Kraig Hunter said. “Drew is a top notch kid in every aspect of life. The crowd gave him a well deserved standing ovation when he came out of the game.”

Peterson added seven assists, six rebounds and six steals to his stat line on the evening. Teammate Jay Zimmerman was also in double figures for West Central with 10 tallies.

The Knights will close out their regular season Friday as they travel to Osakis for a 6 p.m. tilt.
