Oven fire extinguished by officer [UPDATED]

Someone cooking food in an oven resulted in a kitchen fire Tuesday.

The fire was reported at 5:15 p.m. in the 700 block of North Union Avenue.

A Fergus Falls police officer responded to the apartment and put out the fire with a fire extinguisher.

The Fergus Falls Fire Department also responded and ventilated the complex, clearing out all the smoke.

No injuries were reported.
