Wahpeton transformer damaged

The Richland County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help for information that would lead to the apprehension of the person or persons responsible for damaging s power transformer west of Wahpeton, N.D. on Feb. 1.

The power transformer was shot at with a high powered rifle and caused a power disruption for several hours causing many homes and business’ to lose power.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 701-642-7711.
