Otter Tail County Courthouse Remodeling Phase 2

Sealed Bids will be received until 3:00 P.M., March 14, 2013 by the County Auditor of Otter Tail County, for Courthouse Remodeling Phase 2. Bids that are sent in advance are to go to the County Auditor of Otter Tail County, Otter Tail County Government Services Center, 510 Fir Avenue West, Fergus Falls, Minnesota 56537. Bid being hand delivered to the Bid Opening may be turned in at the Dead Lake Room at the above address.

Bids will be opened and read publicly by the Otter Tail County Board of Commissioners or their designated representative, immediately after the hour set for receiving bids in the room noted above.

Courthouse Remodeling Phase 2: The work will consist of extensive remodeling of the east half of first floor Courthouse, extensive remodeling of second and third floor Courthouse, extensive remodeling of third floor Justice Facility and exterior improvements to the Courthouse.

Exterior improvements will consist of re•windowing Courthouse, re•roofing Courthouse, tuck pointing and exterior cleaning of Courthouse, and removal and replacement of the skylight on the Courthouse.

The project will be Bid Single Prime.

MANDATORY Pre•Bid Conference for General Bidders and for Mechanical and Electrical Sub•bidders will be held on the Courthouse site on March 4, 2013 at 2:30 PM. Bids will not be accepted from Bidders/Sub•bidders not attending the     Pre-Bid Conference.

Printed Bidding Documents may be obtained by Prime Bidders and Mechanical and Electrical Sub•bidders only from the Architect, by providing name, address, phone and email contact information. A plan deposit of $150.00 is required for the Courthouse Remodeling Project. Deposits will be returned to those submitting a bid, providing that the complete set is returned within ten (10) days of the Bid opening. Bidding Documents in electronic format will not be sent from the Architect’s Office. Electronic bid sets may be downloaded from QuestCDN.com, #2475741. Addenda will be sent to all known Plan Holders. Bidders receiving Bidding Documents from other sources are responsible for verifying completeness of the plans and for the receipt of Addenda.

Bids must be accompanied by bidders bond or certified check made payable to the County Treasurer, Otter Tail County, for at least Five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid, conditioned that if the bidder’s bid be accepted and the contract awarded to the bidder, the bidder, within ten (10) days after the notice of award will execute a contract in accordance with the terms of the bidder’s bid and provide Payment and Performance Bonds in accordance with the law and the determinations of the City. Bid security of two lowest Bidders will be retained until Contract has been awarded and executed, but not longer than 30 days.

Sealed bids will be received and must be clearly marked “Otter Tail County Courthouse Remodeling Phase 2- SEALED BID”.

The County Board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids, or portions thereof, and to waive informalities.
