Six accidents were reported to the Fergus Falls Police Department Monday likely due to the winter road conditions, officials said. Four of the accidents came on County Road 1-East Fir Avenue.

The first happened just after 8 a.m. when a car went into the ditch at East Fir Avenue and Lenore Way. Less than an hour later, a vehicle came over the hill in the same location, the driver tapped his brakes when he saw the squad, tow truck and the first car in the ditch. His car fishtailed before going into the ditch and flipping over. The car had windows and mirror damage. The driver was not injured.

Two more cars went into the ditch on East Fir Avenue Monday morning. There was also a two-car accident just before 5 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Lincoln and Union avenues.

Nine accidents were reported in the county, mostly with vehicles going into the ditch. A driver suffered minor injuries following a rollover in the ditch at State Hwy. 78 and County Hwy. 54 at 11:53 p.m. Monday, according to the Sheriff’s report.
