Foundation scholarship deadline is April 5 [UPDATED]

The Fergus Falls 544 Education Foundation is now accepting applications for the following scholarships:

• The Robert and Elaine Olson Community Appreciation Fund Scholarship. Two scholarships of $1,000 will be awarded. To be eligible, Fergus Falls High School seniors must have a GPA between 2.0 and 3.499.

• The Barnum and Blondeau Arts Scholarship. This $500 memorial scholarship will be awarded to a Fergus Falls High School senior who has participated in the arts in high school and has art-related goals/career plans.

• The Randy Wanek Memorial Scholarship. This $600 memorial scholarship will be awarded to a Fergus Falls High School senior who will be pursuing a career in nursing and has a GPA of at least 3.0.

• The Wessberg Family Scholarship. Two $2,000 scholarships will be awarded to Fergus Falls High School seniors and/or Fergus Falls High School alumni. Recipients will be chosen based on school and community involvement, and moral character.

The 2013 Summer Scholars Program offers full camp scholarships to students who want to attend an engineering camp and partial camp scholarships to students who are planning on attending other educational camps. The engineering camps are open to students in grades 9-11.

Students wishing to attend other educational camps must meet the requirements set by the camp of their choosing. More information can be found on the application or on the Foundation’s web site. Questions can also be directed to Mindy at 218-998-0544, Ext. 2621.

Applications for all scholarships are available in the Kennedy Secondary School Counseling Office or on the Foundation’s Web site at www.544foundation.org under “Scholarship Information.” The deadline for ALL scholarship applications is April 5.
