Pre-school, kindergarten registration scheduled at Underwood School [UPDATED]
Published 9:55am Wednesday, March 6, 2013 Updated 12:00pm Wednesday, March 6, 2013Registration for the preschool program at Underwood School will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 21 in the Commons area.
Underwood Kindergarten registration is scheduled at 9 a.m. or 2 p.m. Friday, March 22, and is for parents only.
For the preschool program, children must be 3 or 4 by Sept. 1, 2013, to enroll in the program.
If you have not received information in the mail, please contact Anne Stenoien at Underwood School.
Registration is on a first come-first served basis and will not be accepted before the registration night.
The registration fee must also be paid to be considered enrolled in the program.
The program for 3-year-old children is held from 8:25 a.m. to 3:25 p.m. on Mondays, and the 4-year-olds are enrolled on Tuesday/Thursday or Wednesday/Friday.
Preschool in Underwood has been held for more than 40 years, with research showing that children attending the preschool are more ready for kindergarten than the average student and go on to “meet the standards” in state testing in grades 3-6.
