2 hurt in Interstate 29 crash [UPDATED]

A Texas couple suffered minor injuries when their car rolled on I-29 Thursday. The Richland County Sheriff’s Office responded to the report of a single-vehicle rollover at 4:21 p.m. at mile post 19. When officers arrived, the two people in the vehicle had minor cuts and bruises. Both were wearing their seatbelts, side airbags deployed and the vehicle was upright after it had rolled, according to a news release from the Richland County Sheriff’s Office.

Roxie Ahrens, 63, of Edcouch, Texas, and her husband Phil Ahrens, 66, were taken to SFMC in Breckenridge for non-life threatening injuries.

Breckenridge Ambulance Service, Hankinson Ambulance and Great Bend First Responders all assisted at the crash.

Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, according to the release. The crash remains under investigation by the Richland County Sheriff’s Office.
