Court Update [UPDATED]

• Charles Patrick Strand, 57, of Rothsay, was sentenced Monday in Otter Tail County District Court for felony DWI. He was sentenced to 365 in Otter Tail County Jail. He was also sentenced to seven years supervised probation along with electronic home monitoring for 30 days each year while on probation. Strand pleaded guilty Sept. 13, 2012.
According to the criminal complaint, Strand was stopped by a New York Mills police officer along U.S. Hwy. 10 in Otter Tail County April 7, 2012. A preliminary breath test showed his blood alcohol level was 0.216. He was taken to the Perham Police Department.
Strand was also convicted for felony DWI May 7, 2004 in Otter Tail County.
• Robert John Robley, 43, of Pelican Rapids, pleaded guilty Monday in Otter Tail County District Court to gross misdemeanor DWI. He was sentenced to 180 days in Otter Tail County Jail, with 150 days stayed for six years. He is to serve 30 days. He was also sentenced to six years supervised probation.
According to the criminal complaint, Robley was stopped by an Otter Tail County deputy in the early morning of July 15, 2012 near the intersection of County Hwy. 4 and County Hwy. 31. A preliminary breath test showed his blood alcohol level was 0.204. He agreed to take a breath test which showed a blood alcohol level of 0.19, the report says. Then he was taken to detox in Fergus Falls.
