BJ’s East, a Fergus Falls fixture for many years has closed its doors and is for sale. The convenience grocery store and gas station business has been at 1040 E. Fir Avenue, next to the YMCA since 1976.

Owner Bob Johnson could not be reached for comment. But customers have confirmed that the doors are locked and a “For Sale” sign is on the property.

The building is currently listed for sale with Lakes Family Real Estate for $295,000, without the fixtures.

So sorry to see that BJ’s has closed. I always felt like a “neighbor” when I went in and was always greeted by name. We’ll miss you all! Todd and Barbara Kilde
