A two-vehicle accident Saturday afternoon just west of Henning left one man with pain in his ribs.

The driver of a pickup truck was headed westbound on County Hwy. 16 at County Hwy. 61 when he pulled to the side of Hwy. 16, backed onto Hwy. 61 and drove south across Hwy. 16 after he missed his turn, according to the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s report.

The truck pulled in front of a Jeep Grand Cherokee which tried to stop but was unable to avoid hitting the truck on the right front side.

The 36-year-old driver, from Henning, of the truck said his ribs were hurt due to his seatbelt but he didn’t need any medical attention, according to the report.
