Irene Bergem Wells, 87, originally of Underwood

Irene Wells, most recently living in Michigan, died Thursday, March 7, 2013, after a long and courageous struggle from post-surgical complications.0310.obit.wells

She was born August 15, 1925. She attended the Minnesota School of Business in Minneapolis, and worked as administrative assistant and retail sales associate during her career.

She was the beloved wife of the late Harold Wells; mother of Gregory Wells (Marilyn Venus), Caryn Wells (Eric Reid), Mary Beth Wells, and Bradley Wells. Loving grandmother of nine grandchildren: Scott, David, Elliott, Brendan, Leslie, Sophia, Gabriella, Stacey, and Courtney; and nine great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late George Bergem (Phyllis).

Irene loved her Norwegian heritage, the theatre, nature, all animals, reading, and especially being with family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

The Wells family will receive family and friends on Tuesday, March 12, 2013, from 4 pm to 6 pm at Olson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at 11 am at Tingvold Lutheran Church in Underwood with Reverend Nancy Monke officiating. Burial will be in the Tingvold cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Tingvold Lutheran Church, 28041 County Hwy 35, Underwood, MN 56586.
