Man pleads not guilty in strangling case [UPDATED]

A Fergus Falls man who allegedly strangled his girlfriend has pleaded not guilty.

Julius Lamon Bailey, 43, was charged Jan. 28 in Otter Tail County District Court with felony domestic assault by strangulation and interfering with an emergency call, a gross misdemeanor.

Bailey allegedly threatened and attempted to strangle his girlfriend following an argument, according to the criminal complaint.

Bailey’s next court appearance is scheduled for April 25.
