A 31-year-old Fergus Falls man was cited for fifth-degree assault and disorderly conduct following multiple incidents Wednesday.

At 5:34 p.m., the man went to PEG Access of Fergus in the 200 block of Washington Avenue and was reportedly upset that his show wasn’t being aired. He was asked several times to leave, which he finally did.

At 7:10 p.m., the man approached a woman and blocked her path to her car as she was leaving CarMart Net in the 400 block of Lincoln Avenue. He allegedly wouldn’t let her get to her car and was preaching religious beliefs and for the safety of her and her family. The woman said he grabbed her arm, pushed her and prevented her from getting to her car, according to the report. He was also reportedly in her face yelling at her. She was fearful he was going to cause harm to her, police said. The woman’s husband, who witnessed the scene, tackled the man to the ground and a physical altercation occurred. The man was gone by the time police arrived, though he was cited for fifth-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

About a half hour later, the man caused a disturbance at the Fergus Falls Public Library. He allegedly raised his voice inside the library about his political and governmental concerns.
