‘Money to Burn’ at the Fergus Theatre March 22-24 [UPDATED]

The new group and A Center for the Arts are co-presenting this play at the Fergus Theatre, 124 W. Lincoln Ave., downtown Fergus Falls at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, March 22 and 23, and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 24. Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for students/children. “Money to Burn” was written as a spoof of the Agatha Christie murder mysteries by local thespian Laura Johnson. Watch the fun as the relatives of recently deceased Uncle Dudley gather at his mansion to find the money they are sure is hidden there, and see what ghostly tricks Dudley has up his sleeve — especially for his ex-wife Veronica.
“Money to Burn” premiered at A Center for the Arts in 1999. Laura Johnson, Randy King and Jane Geisinger all performed in the original play and are again in this 2013 presentation. Joining them as cast members are Chad Canfield, Michelle Canfield, Becca Svingen, Jess Cooper, Rick Schara and Joe Johnson.
The cast and crew of this play are all seasoned local performers who have worked together on numerous occasions at various AC4TA productions. Their familiarity with each other helps them work together and feed off each other’s talents. Because they are working with friends, each one feels comfortable bringing their own eccentric ideas to their characters.
This community theater play was well received in 1999 and promises to be even better this year.
