An Otter Tail County plow truck and a Dodge Dakota pickup truck collided Saturday morning due to the slippery road conditions, according to a news release from the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office.

The plow was headed eastbound and plowing snow on County Hwy. 60 just before 9 a.m. and the pickup was southbound on County Hwy. 51 when it approached the intersection of County Hwy. 60.

The pickup slid due to the extreme slippery road conditions. The driver of the plow tried to stop and pull over as far to the right shoulder of the highway to avoid the collision, but the pickup slid into the plow.

The pickup had minor front end damage; the plow had no visible damage.

Five other minor accidents with no injuries were reported to the sheriff’s office over the weekend, most due to the slippery conditions.

The office also took multiple calls Sunday night for vehicles in the ditch.

In the city of Fergus Falls, three minor accidents were reported from the weekend.

One involved a plow sliding on the road, hitting a parked car in the 400 block of W. Vasa.
