Parish nurses, clergy or interested representatives from congregations in the region are invited to a complementary in-service at Lake Region Healthcare.

The session, titled “Know Your Healthcare Options,” is designed to educate church leaders on health care options in order to help serve parishioners.

“Health care is so complex today,” said Lake Region Healthcare Community Liaison and RN, Barb Miller. “People often look to their faith community for advice on physical, emotional and spiritual health.

“By partnering with parish nurses and clergy we can help ensure more people are aware of their options and choices available to them, which isn’t always easy to determine especially in times of crisis.”

The in-service is planned from 9 to 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 18, at Lake Region Healthcare’s Lower Level Conference Rooms A&B. The hospital is located at 712 Cascade St. S in Fergus Falls.

One hour Continuing Education credit (CEU) will be provided at no charge upon request.

RSVPs are required by April 11, by calling Zoe Alaboud at 218-736-8247 or zlalaboud@lrhc.org or Barb Miller at 218-736-8227, or bjmiller@lrhc.org.
