OtterRiser Kiwanis fertilizer fundraiser begins April 6 [UPDATED]
Published 9:23am Thursday, March 21, 2013 Updated 11:27am Thursday, March 21, 2013One of Fergus Falls’ longest-running fund raisers makes its 38th straight appearance on Sat., April 6. Yes, if it’s spring, it’s Kiwanis fertilizer time.
This annual rite of spring helps the Otter Risers Kiwanis support youth activities with a purchase, says club president Terry Lejcher. “Our fertilizer products are proven winners year after year,” Lejcher said. “Feedback from our customers has always been positive and you can’t beat having the product delivered to your door,” he said.
All proceeds after expenses are returned to various community causes, Lejcher said.
On Saturday, April 6, a day-long, door-to-door effort will be underway. Residents can have their choice of fertilizer products, from garden to crabgrass control to an organic choice called Super Soil. For those without a need for fertilizer, support can be given by purchasing a special Otter Risers blend of Stumbeano’s coffee.
Bulk orders for commercial or large operations is also available.
