Outdoor facilities serve higher purpose [UPDATED]Published 9:20am Thursday, March 21, 2013 Updated 11:22am Thursday, March 21, 2013
We are supporting the Fergus Falls Public Schools’ Outdoor Facilities Bond Referendum because it will be an asset and benefit to our community. It will help prepare the future generations to live a healthy life. This proposal shows the District is focusing on physical activity and safety, which will ultimately improve student health. As parents of five , living in a very electronic age, we are constantly trying to keep them active.
It makes us very happy to see that our district is concerned about these very same things and is taking action to support them by improving its Outdoor Facilities.
Another fact to consider is that academic success of America’s youth is strongly linked to their physical health.
By maximizing our green space and giving our students as many opportunities as we can, we are setting up our kids with the best possible chance to succeed. We plan to vote YES on Tuesday, April 2, because it is clear to us that our students and our community will greatly benefit from facilities the Bond Referendum will provide.
