Grader clips parked pickupPublished 10:56am Friday, March 22, 2013
A pickup truck received moderate damage after a road grader hit the parked vehicle Thursday afternoon in Deer Creek, according to the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office.
The pickup was unoccupied and parked on the south side of West Main Avenue facing eastbound. The road grader traveled east but moved to the south side of the road due to a vehicle coming from the east.
The road grader’s wing clipped the left rear portion of the truck’s cab, damaging it, and the driver’s side mirror.
The driver of the road grader, Lee Ackerson, of Browerville, said he moved to the right, misjudged the clearance of the wing and struck the truck, according to a news release.
There were no injuries and no citations issued.
