Mass transit is not the answer to traffic congestion [UPDATED]Published 10:07am Wednesday, March 27, 2013 Updated 12:08pm Wednesday, March 27, 2013
I don’t know which end your head is on. What if we had two lanes? Traffic congestion will be a problem until autos fly. The east has lots of mass transit and many lanes and it is congested and always will be, until autos fly.
I hate mass transit. I love freedom. How many mass advocates will ride it? It’s for others so you have more room to drive. Freeways move the nation’s goods from source to destination. Railroads are great but they have to stay on track.
As the population grows they add all types of transportation. People will drive until they are forced not to, and Americans don’t like to be forced.
Listen to your elders: we rode street cars and they dumped us off two miles from home.
