‘Risen: A Thorn Easter Experience’ presented Sunday [UPDATED]Published 10:13am Thursday, March 28, 2013 Updated 12:18pm Thursday, March 28, 2013
Immanuel and St. Paul Lutheran churches are sponsoring the greatest story ever told with the production of “Risen: A Thorn Easter Experience.” “The theme this year is ‘Risen!’ and it promises to be another great experience for people of all ages,” said Noel A. Herr, pastor serving the two churches.
Services will be Sunday at 8:30 a.m. at St. Paul and at 10:30 a.m. at Immanuel. The LCMS parish is one of the first in the country to present the unique Easter celebration that includes compelling videos, inspiring songs, beautiful graphics and dramatic monologues adapted from “The Thorn Live,” a spectacular stage presentation seen by nearly one million people over the last 14 years.
This is the first year the above exclusive licensed content from “The Thorn Live” production has been available to churches to use in creating a worship experience unlike any other Easter service.
The parishes are excited to be able to invite everyone in Fergus Falls and the surrounding area to attend this unique production and hopes many will come see Easter in a whole new way.
“We hope to have both churches filled to capacity this coming Sunday. It’s an experience people will never forget,” said Herr.
