Man charged with 20 feloniesPublished 10:43am Friday, March 29, 2013
A 23-year-old Fergus Falls man has been charged with 20 felonies after he allegedly had child pornography on his computer.
Salvatore Douglas Aronica was charged Feb. 28 in Otter Tail County District Court with 20 counts of possessing pornographic work electronically. His first court appearence was Monday.
According to the criminal complaint, the Fergus Falls Police Department executed a search warrant of Aronica’s residence July 27, 2012. A laptop found in his bedroom reportedly had 20 pornographic videos on it that showed preteen and teenage girls engaging in sexual activity. The computer also reportedly had thumbnail files of child pornography that were bookmarked. A thumbnail is created when a user is shown contents of an image or video file while viewing files in a directory, the report says. File sharing took place between Jan. 4, 2012 and April 27, 2012, the report says.
Aronica allegedly admitted that he likes younger women, and that he accessed LimeWire and FrostWire to view pornography.
Aronica’s next court appearence is scheduled for Monday, April 8.
