Fergus Falls public schools are closed for the day and a National Weather Service blizzard warning remains in effect throughout the region. Forecasts called for 1 to 2 inches more snow through the day today with the morning’s  wind swinging more to the northwest as the morning progresses. Winds are forecast to blow as strongly as 30 mph and the NWS said there is a possibility of gusts to 40 mph later in the day.

At 6:30 a.m., Interstate 94 was closed from Alexandria to Fargo and Highway 210 was closed west of Fergus Falls. Highway 10 from Fargo to Wadena was also closed. MnDOT had a “no travel” warning posted for most other highways in the region.

Watch for more details throughout the day.

Due to the bad weather and the cancellation of classes the Fergus
Falls Mass Band Concert will be postponed to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 19 at the KSS Gold Gym.
