DL woman sentenced for DWI [UPDATED]

Lisa Caroline Morrison, 50, of Detroit Lakes, was sentenced Friday, March 22 in Otter Tail County District Court for gross misdemeanor DWI. She was sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 170 days stayed. She is to serve 10 days.

She was also sentenced to six years unsupervised probation. Morrison pleaded guilty Jan. 16.

According to the criminal complaint, a Minnesota State Trooper came across her parked car Dec. 27, 2012 on the shoulder of Black Diamond Road near Hwy. 10 in Otter Tail County.

Morrison reportedly said she ran out of gas and was waiting for roadside assistance. She allegedly refused a preliminary breath test and was arrested.

She was taken to Becker County Jail where a breath test showed her blood alcohol level to be 0.28.
