FF Township elects Westvig

Fifty one of the 62 townships in Otter Tail County held elections Tuesday, including two contested races.

Fergus Falls Township had contested race for Supervisor for a one year term between Marvin R. Westvig and Ben Wolden. Westvig got about 89 percent of the vote, garnering 46 votes while Wolden received five.

Star Lake Township had close race for treasurer, between Carol Peterson and Crystal Collins. With just a nine percent margin, Peterson came out on top with 55 votes to Collins 50 votes.

Most township races were uncontested, including in Orwell and Carlisle.
