FF’s Millard to play in senior all-star game

Fergus Falls senior basketball standout Mike Millard will be participating in the 31st annual Minnesota High School All-Star Basketball Series today at St. Cloud State University.

Millard was one of forty senior baskeball players selected for the four-team tournament. Millard will play on the blue team, coached by Waconia’s Pat Hayes and Rich Gove.

Millard helped lead the Otters to a 18-11 record and an appearance in the Section 8AAA finals and finished his career as the school’s all-time leading scorer.

The event will kickoff with the Maroon versus the Gold squad at 7 p.m. with the Blue vesus the Green team beginning at 8:45 p.m.

After each game there will be a three point shooting and dunk contest.

On Saturday, the event will move to the Leonard Center on the campus of Maclaster College in St. Paul, where a consolation and championship game will be played. First game tip-off is set for 2:15 p.m.

Tickets will be sold at the gate for $8 for adults and $6 for students. Children 5 and under are free.
