AgCountry Farm Credit Services has donated over $14,000 toward hunger relief efforts in eastern North Dakota and northwest and west central Minnesota.
The Fergus Falls office made a contribution to the Fergus Falls Community Food Shelf, Battle Lake Food Shelf, Henning Community Food Shelf, Pelican Rapids Community Food, Prairie Food Shelf, Perham Area Food Shelf, Staples Area Food Shelf, Wadena Project Share Food Shelf and New York Mills Area Food Shelf. This is the 23rd year AgCountry FCS has donated funds to local hunger relief efforts.
“The demand at food banks throughout North Dakota and Minnesota continues to increase, particularly during these challenging economic times,” says Bob Bahl, President and CEO, AgCountry Farm Credit Services. “As an agricultural cooperative serving farmers that put food on our tables,” he adds, “we consider it a privilege to help provide for the current and future hunger needs of our communities.”
“We are committed to helping solve the challenge of hunger in our community,” says Leon Keller, Senior Loan Officer/ Branch Manager, AgCountry Farm Credit Services. “We are pleased to support the Otter Tail/Wadena County food pantries in their efforts to create a hunger-free community,” he adds.
