Separate sealed bids for Fergus Falls Public Schools Primary Distribution Upgrade at Roosevelt Education Center will be received by the Fergus Falls Public School District at the office of Business Manager, Fergus Falls Public Schools, 601 Randolph Ave Fergus Falls, MN 56537 until 2:00 pm local time, Monday, April 22nd, 2013. The bid opening will occur at Kennedy Secondary School in the Otter Community Room at that time.
Bids shall be on the basis of cash payment for work performed. All work included in the contract must be fully completed on or before August 12th, 2013.
Bids must be submitted on copies of the bid form in the specifications and must be accompanied by a separate envelope containing a copy of current contractor’s license and a bidder’s bond in a sum equal to five percent (5%) of the full amount of the bid executed by the bidder as principal and by the surety company authorized to do business in this state, conditioned that if the bidder’s bid be accepted and the contract be awarded to the bidder, the bidder, within ten (10) days after notice of award, will execute and effect a contract in accordance with the terms of the bidder’s bid and a contractor’s bond as required by law and the regulations and determinations of the School District. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Contract Bond in the full amount of the contract.

Bidding Documents can be downloaded for no charge by contacting the office of MBN Engineering, Inc at (701) 478-6336. Contractors that download the plans and specifications are required to have them printed elsewhere and are solely responsible for those printing costs. Hard copies may also be obtained from the office of MBN Engineering, Inc. upon receipt of a nonrefundable fee in the amount of fifty dollars ($50.00) for one set.
A pre-bid meeting for prospective bidders will occur at 1:30 pm on April 16th, 2013 at Roosevelt Education Center, 340 Friberg Ave Fergus Falls, MN 56537.
Bidders must hold a Minnesota Contractor’s License and carry Minnesota Workers’ Compensation Insurance as required by law.
The required bid bond envelope shall contain a copy of the Contractor’s License or Certificate of Renewal thereof issued by the Secretary of State as required by law.
The Fergus Falls School District reserves the right to hold all bids for a period of thirty (30) days after the day fixed for the opening of the bids, and the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities.
No bid will be read or considered which does not fully comply with the above provisions as to bond and licenses and any deficient bid will be resealed and returned to the bidder immediately.
